How do I stop my alarm panel from beeping and silencing trouble alerts.
“Trouble” beeping on your security panel can happen for a variety of reasons, some more urgent than others. Most systems will display the problem – some easier to spot than others. Please find below some of the most common security systems we install and service which could be former Guardian Protection, Brinks, Nelson Alarm, Indiana Alarm, Hoosier Security, ADT, and other installers.
First Steps
Below are a few steps you can take to stop the beeping caused by trouble alerts such as:
- Security System Main Battery being Low
- Security System Sensor / Device with a Low Battery (door, window, glass break, motion, smoke, etc)
- Security Alarm Devices with a Tamper Alert (cover off or ajar typically on a wireless device)
- Communication Failure
- Other Triggers
The following steps provide a temporary fix to stop the beeping and usually do not permanently fix the problem. If the problem persists, the panel may begin beeping again then you will need to repeat the procedure.
